Sporting a greasy mullet and the most up-to-date fashion items, A.C. Slater (aka: Albert Clifford Slater) ruled the halls of Bayside High. The son of a drill instructor, this Army brat took to his new friends at Bayside and his favorite hangout, the Max.

It is hard to pinpoint his best accomplishments over his illustrious high school career, but we’ve managed to list a few:

- Captain of the football, basketball, and wrestling teams.

- Saved the Max by filling in on a radio telethon.

- Creator of Buddy Bands

- Once sodomized Valleys prized team mascot to show that Bayside will take no prisoners

- Scored game winning touchdown in 6-0 win over Valley in homecoming game. This game is also remembered for the face paint debacle.

- Sexually harassed 93% of the female population at Bayside.

- Contestant in Miss Bayside pageant.

- Took a real life Princess to Jessie’s father’s wedding in Palm Springs.

- Made sitting backwards in a chair a fashion statement.

- Member of the band Zack Attack.

Life didn’t always come easy for A.C., and it took his hard work and determination to get through the tough times. He lost his pet lizard Artie unexpectedly, was shunned by Bayside critics for his poor performance on Tiger Radio, and constantly having to tone down his macho image for uber-feminist girlfriend Jessie Spano.

For many of us, we grew up idolizing the man who brought acid-wash hammer pants to mainstream fashion. Stuffing nerds into lockers, making sexually disparaging remarks, and kicking the crap out of the losers at Valley. A.C. Slater was the epitome of what every High School student dreams to be. His perfectly toned body made us question our sexuality.

Please note that I have purged every memory of Saved by the Bell: The College Years from my memory. This was not A.C. Slater, yet a rouse put together by NBC producers using elaborate editing and body doubles.

If you are out there reading this A.C., we leave you with this. You’re a jock with a tough exterior, but you’ve got a soft side too. You love the chicks, and they love you too. You are A.C. Slater, and you are our Daily Hero.
